Vanwege de uitstekende corrosieweerstand en chemische weerstand wordt het gebruikt voor anticorrosie coatings voor infrastructurele werken, scheepsverven, vloercoatings en matrixhars voor composietmaterialen.\nDe volgende belangrijke toepassing is als grondstof voor MX-nylon, een gasbarri\u00e8rehars dat de houdbaarheid van voedingsmiddelen
